frank. isn’t your average fashion brand.
frank. isn’t your average fashion brand. It’s a project that uses clothing to challenge the way we think about consumption. We take waste—things that should’ve been tossed—and turn it into something worth talking about. Fashion isn’t just about clothes for us; it’s a tool to provoke thought, spark conversation, and push boundaries.
We’re not here to preach. We’re here to make sustainable choices so easy and effortless that you won’t even miss the old ways. And we’re doing it with style—no compromises.
Fashion has the power to change things. With frank., we’re making sure it’s used for good.
MISSION
frank. is here to make you look twice. We use fashion to expose what the industry tries to hide—waste, exploitation, and the true cost of consumption. But we’re not about guilt trips or greenwashing.
Our mission is simple: turn the problem into a conversation and the conversation into action.
ABOUT
Why Fast Fashion fails us
Fast Fashion sells you the illusion of a good deal. Cheap prices, endless trends, a new outfit for every occasion. But look closer, and the real cost starts to show—polluted rivers, overflowing landfills, and workers paid barely enough to survive.
It’s a system built on taking too much, paying too little, and moving too fast for anyone to stop and ask: Who really benefits from all this? (Spoiler: not the planet, not the people making your clothes, and not even you.)
frank. exists to cut through the noise, to bring the facts to the surface, and to make one thing very clear: fashion shouldn’t cost the earth.
CO2
Carbon footprint disaster – The fashion industry pumps out more CO2 emissions than international air and sea transport combined. In 2015 alone, fashion production released 1.2 billion tonnes of CO2 equivalents into the atmosphere. It's a truly frightening statistic that cries out for urgent change.
2,7K
Resource depletion – It takes up to 2,700 litres of water to produce just one cotton T-shirt - enough to keep a person hydrated for two and a half years! Conventional cotton farming also dumps pesticides and fertilisers on our planet, polluting the soil and poisoning our water supplies.
65%
The threat of microplastics – Synthetic fibres such as polyester, which make up around 65 per cent of all textiles, are a major source of microplastic pollution. Every time these clothes are washed, they shed tiny plastic particles that pass through water filters and end up polluting our oceans.
Appalling working conditions – Fast fashion is often made in developing countries, where workers are paid peanuts and toil in dangerous conditions. These injustices are hidden behind glitzy shop fronts while Western consumers snap up cheap clothes.

WHO IS frank.?
At frank., we prefer to stay in the background and let the project speak for itself. frank. is confident, loud, and unapologetic—it doesn’t shy away from the uncomfortable truths. We believe in letting the message take center stage, not the people behind it.
But every now and then, there are moments when we have to step forward—whether it's giving talks, leading workshops, or engaging in conversations. Because even though frank. is the voice, we’re the ones pushing the conversation forward.

FOUNDERI hope to get people thinking about taking responsibility for our planet, and that's how the idea for frank. came about.
During my training as a fashion designer, I quickly realised that the fashion world wasn't all it was cracked up to be.
I was feeling pretty dissatisfied and world-weary, so I started thinking about a really important question; What can I do to make a difference?I believe that good design is the best way to connect with people. I'm looking to make a positive impact on the world through sustainable design and innovative concepts.
While I was studying Communication Design, I started to get a feel for what I wanted to do with my project. I wanted to share my fashion knowledge in a constructive and encouraging way, rather than in a critical manner.
Change can only happen where the mind strives for it. Only those who understand that they can make a difference will act responsibly – and see the privilege that comes with it.
So frank. was born, with a mission to get people to ask themselves; What can I do to make a difference?
Because, let's face it, if we don't start asking the tough questions, who will?

Design is more than just making things look pretty—it’s about telling stories, shaping perspectives, and standing for something important. It’s a way to communicate what matters, which is why frank. isn’t just a project to me; it’s a cause I believe in.
The fast fashion industry thrives on misinformation and detachment, and as a designer, I see it as my responsibility to challenge that. Design has the power to bring awareness, to make people stop and rethink the way they see fashion—and that’s exactly what frank. sets out to do.
Lynn and I met during our graphic design studies, and from the beginning, we knew we made a great team. When she asked me to help with a frank. photoshoot, I didn’t hesitate. The project stood for something real, something urgent.
Since then, I’ve been involved in many ways—behind the camera, as a creative collaborator, or just an extra set of hands when needed. No matter the role, I’m proud to be part of something that challenges the way we think about fashion and its impact.

I first learned about frank. through the media and soon connected with Lynn and Caro. We quickly discovered that we share the same values when it comes to sustainability and ethics in fashion. It felt natural to become part of frank. and contribute to its mission.
As an editorial designer, I am passionate about making information on fair fashion more accessible—cutting through the overwhelming complexity and bringing clarity. Because even small steps can make a big difference when enough people walk the path together.
